Hey Guys! It’s been way too long since my last blog. We have been so busy with client projects that I haven’t had a chance to blog in a while. But I had to hop on and share my latest home project! About two years ago I totally renovated my living and dining rooms in my very first One Room Challenge! It was an amazing and transformative experience… it was even published on housebeautiful.com! In that project, we elevated our space with paint, window treatments, an 11 foot fireplace wall and of course new furniture. You can read all about it here: One Room Challenge. At the time with such a huge renovation, I knew that I could not work a new sofa into the budget, so I pulled the sofa bed from our guest room and repurposed it in the new space with hopes that one day we could replace it a dream sofa! Well… that day is here!

The day has arrived! It’s Reveal Day and I couldn’t be more excited. Thank you for following along with me, as I share more about our design process and the step by step transformation of my primary bedroom and bathroom! The last eight weeks have been an amazing experience and although there were many hiccups and quick thinking moments along the way, I had so much fun in the process. Ultimately, we were able to push through to the finish line and create a oasis even more beautiful then I could have imagined!

Whew! It's week 7 and we are getting down to the wire! The past few weeks have been amazing seeing everything come together and while I’m excited to see sleep in my bedroom again, I’m equally as excited to share the final product with you. In last week's blog we talked about the ordering process and highlighted some of the key pieces we’re adding to our spaces to make them feel warm and luxurious

We have walls! Welcome back to week 6 of the ORC. I am happy to share that there are real walls up in our bathroom and that means that we are approaching the finish line! As we enter into Week 6, we are moving through our design process and are now in the middle of the Procurement and Project Management phase of our design process.

Welcome back to week 4 of the One Room Challenge! Can you believe we’re halfway through this challenge and there are still so many moving parts to complete. Last week’s blog we curated the mood board to get a better feel of what textures, moods, and finishes we wanted to utilize in bathroom and bedroom space. In this phase of the design development process we have reviewed the mood board, designed a plan based on room measurements, my design tastes, and voilá here is the finished product!

The room is selected and the inspiration is set! We are now in week three of the One Room Challenge and I am so excited to have you all get a sneak peek into my mood boards! In Phase 2 of our design development process we occasionally present a mood board to the client with design styles and pieces that we believe fit their taste based on their questionnaire. The reason we choose to start with a mood board first over a full on design is to make sure that we are on track with the clients design wishes. It will also save the client and us time on revisions once the design is created since we base pieces off of the mood board approval.
