Hey Guys, It’s been a while since I’ve hopped over to the blog to share design trends, tips and updates on projects, but I had to share all of the trends spotted at High Point market this year with you!

If you’ve been following along on Instagram you’ve noticed our 2022 High Point Market Design Influencer’s Tour posts! The Design Influencer’s tour is an exclusive tour of the very best furniture showrooms and brands at High Point! I am excited to be selected for this behind the scenes tour and to join nine other other talented influencers (listed below).

With that let’s just right into it! Here are some of the top 2022 trends noted this spring!

Let’s start with color. Neutrals were everywhere this season in everything from upholstery to case goods. Prior to market, my assumption was that furniture would pickup the bright, colorful and neon trend in some way that we are seeing in fashion but it didn’t translate over to furnishings this season. This season was all about warm, soothing and cozy colors. Speaking on cozy… this sense of cozy ring true with materials showcased at High Point this season!

Let’s talk about Texture! Texture was prevalent in all of the showrooms visited. We saw everything from Boucle… which is here to stay (at least for a while) by the way to rattan and more natural and organic materials like leather and marble. This gorgeous tufted leather sofa from Hooker Furniture is a great example of neutral colors and lots of texture!

Furniture shapes were eye catching and increasingly interesting this market. This trend started about 2 years ago with the emergence of the curved sofa and this year we’re seeing the trend expand into tables, chairs ad more. Here are some of my favorite examples from Cisco Home and Bungalow 5!

Lighting reigned supreme in showroom across all of High Point. One of our favorites Kalco Lighting displayed trends like sustainability by using environmentally friendly materials in their products.. and the organic trend highlighted above with it’s line of natural lighting pieces made from materials like wood and woven linen.

There were so many amazing new collections, pieces and trends to see this High Point Market season! I am excited to see what’s next!
