Function Matters!

Hey friends!

So I’ve noticed more and more with new clients that families want spaces that are both beautiful and functional.  Like many of us, our clients have lived in their home for a few years and are ready for a dreamy but functional makeover especially after being home during a pandemic for a year and a half. Meet our client’s in Townsend, Delaware. After five years in their home, they were now ready for a serious makeover! Here’s a before picture!

My client made note that while they wanted their family space to be beautiful, they wanted it to also be functional for entertaining . So to keep all those things in mind we designed their family room and dining room with neutral hues and furniture pieces that allowed for great room flow.

The living room received a lot of light from the windows and the open floor plan.  Knowing that our clients wanted the space for entertaining we decided that replacing their ceiling fan was an absolute must. We selected the Kitchler’s Ridley II LED 52" Fan Antique Pewter to compliment the neutral tones of this room. This ceiling fan is dimmable, energy efficient, and quiet.  I think what we as a team loved the most about using this fan is how easy it is to install with our contractors. The look of this fan is so sleek and perfect for the living room.

Now on to the dining room. Here’s a before and here’s the after!

When we designed the dining room we added some darker wood pieces to offset the neutral colors of the living room and the white of the kitchen. We chose this beautiful dining set and complimented it with Kitchlers Winslow™ 5 Light Chandelier in black finish. The chandelier has two options for hanging the lighting, facing up as pictured or light fixtures facing down. This light set also allowed for bringing additional dimension into the dining nook.

We’re so happy that our clients are happy with their beautiful but super functional rooms and that they can now live fully in these spaces.
