Germantown Flip - Behind the Scenes

Hello, hello! Here to share a little insight to some behind the scenes projects I’ve been working on. 2021 for me has had a lot of amazing moments. One of them was having the opportunity to work alongside my husband Jake to completely rehab a home in my childhood neighborhood, Germantown. When Jake and I hunted our next house to flip, this one stuck out to me. The character in this home from the sunroom to the fireplace was enough to seal the deal.

When Jake and I completed our walk through we were sold and were committed to bring this historic home into modern glory. He and I were very diligent with the planning phase of the layout and overall interior design. We knew that this was going to be a wonderful family home and potentially host friends and family for events and celebrations. With that in mind we knew what materials, hardware, and furniture to include in the final design.

When you think of hot Philly summers, ventilation and air flow is key to having a successful gathering. We opened up the walls in this traditional row home to encourage both room flow and air flow. To assist with the air flow we decided to go with Kichler’s Ridley II LED 52” Fan. We added this fan to the sunroom, family room, and bedrooms. Clearly we couldn’t get enough of its efficacy. The 3 blade fan is very modern and sleek. Not only does it look amazing in the room, its transitional style works well with whatever the future homeowners decide. Also, I can’t get enough of how quiet the fan runs.

When we were in the process of sourcing vanity lights we searched through various options. We finally settled on the Amity 23 Inch 3 Light Vanity Light with Clear Seeded Glass in Black for the primary  bathroom. This option was super sleek and complemented the aesthetic of the bathroom. The glass is not only gorgeous but it also diffuses light to produce a warm and inviting glow. You want to know the best part? Jake couldn’t stop talking about how easy it was to install.

I was so happy with my decision to use Kichler products for this rehab. I know I’ve added them to my personal best favorites list.

Until next time!

Xoxo,
