House Beautiful Whole Home 2023 Reveal - The Guest Suite!

I am thrilled to reveal our space in the 2023 House Beautiful Whole Home Showhouse! Our Guest Room Suite includes an entry hall, a sitting room, and a bedroom. We wanted to celebrate femininity throughout this space by incorporating whimsical and serene elements of design while also paying homage to the home’s exquisite architecture and grounds surrounding the property.

Before we get started, I want to take a moment to thank everyone who has helped to make this happen. Thank you to Architectural Grille, California Closets, Fabricut, Farrow & Ball, Fibreworks, Hunter Douglas, Kravet, Lee Industries, Minted, Monogram, Morris & Co., O'Brien Harris, Phillip Jeffries, Serena & Lily, Trane, South Town Interiors , Vitalia Inc. Visual Comfort & Co., Zephyr and photographers Anna Spaller , Kevin Miyazaki and The Media MD .

Ok ready?!? Come on in!

You enter the space through the Guest Room Suite by passing through our, calming but bold entry hall. Soft pastels, and carefully selected textures combine to create an ambiance that is both inviting and empowering. One of the defining features of the entry hall is the seamless integration of the Phillip Jeffries Sky lavender wallpaper. We featured the Albany Pedestal table from Jayson Home , a bench upholstered with Lee Industries’ fabulous Leopard Skin Faux Fur fabric called Somali Fossil and a wool runner rug from Fibreworks in the color Grace- Snow . Another focal point in this space is the Strada Small flush Mount light by Visual Comfort. Both art pieces in the hallway can be found from the brand Minted.

As you enter the sitting area, the first thing that pulls you in is the striking floor-to-ceiling teal-colored walls in the color Oval Room Blue by Farrow & Ball. This bold choice creates an atmosphere of serenity and calm, instantly transporting you to a place of tranquility. The color not only adds vibrancy but also serves as a lovely backdrop for the stunning view from this room, which includes an expansive pool in the back of the home. Architectural Grille helped us give the home’s preexisting built-ins a facelift by adding metal work to the front of the cabinets. We partnered with Architectural Grille, and the builder J. Jordan Homes, to create a window seat bench over the existing radiator for the best view in the house. The upholstery for the bench cushion and accent pillows are Fabricut and were all done by Custom Window Treatments - Vitalia Inc.

The metalwork transformed each element into a statement piece helping to reflect the home’s individuality. Soft elements in the space include our beautifully upholstered Chaise Lounge in the fabric Tulum Cement by Lee Industries, and our specially made curtains in the fabric Rye Dot Loden by Farbicut and fabricated by Southtown Interiors. To balance out the soft elements we included some harder elements like both of the pedestal tables the white one being from Serena and Lily and the marble patterned one being from Jayson Home, we decided to bring the room together with a custom zebra print area rug in the color 2950 Khan by Fibreworks. One of our favorite elements of this space was our Talia Large Chandelier from Visual Comfort , bringing in that whimsical but still sophisticated feel that we were going for. Finishing touches for the space included the Long Leather Fringe Ottomans by Lee Industries , and all off the special decor pieces in the built-ins that can mostly be found at Jayson Home.

Next we flow into the bedroom! The focal point of this feminine haven is undoubtedly the Phillip Jeffries butterfly wallpaper that graces the walls. The butterflies seem to dance across the walls, creating a visual symphony that encapsulates the essence of whimsical femininity. To complement the butterfly wallpaper, the trim and ceiling were painted in a beautiful pastel pink. Framing the doors, windows, and architectural details, in the pastel hue added to the enchanting narrative of the space while also acting as a subtle guide, leading the eye through the room. Whimsical accents, from butterfly-themed throw pillows by Vitalia Inc in Butterfly Garden Hibiscus by Fabricut to delicate floral arrangements, contribute to the overall ambiance. Thoughtful additions like the Tall Franklin Bed by Serena and Lily and the custom botanical print bed linen by Fabricut add layers of charm and personality, ensuring that every corner of the room exudes the essence of femininity. Both elements of light in this room are from Visual Comfort the Melange 10" Elongated Sconce can be found on both sides of the bed and the gorgeous Mellita Eight Light Pendant placed beautifully from the ceiling.
