As a designer, I spend my days creating beautiful, functional spaces for my clients — spaces that feel like home and reflect who they are. But recently, I had the rare and exciting opportunity to turn the design lens inward… and remodel my own kitchen.

Let me just say: designing your own space is both thrilling and humbling. You’d think it would be easier — but truthfully, I felt all the same emotions my clients do. The excitement. The indecision. The anticipation. But at the end of the day, this kitchen now feels like the perfect blend of everything I love — timeless design, thoughtful functionality, and a little luxury layered in for good measure.

Let’s start with what might be my favorite feature — the Kutch Gemstone Natural Gas Range with a six-burner gas cooktop.. I’m not just a designer, I’m a mom, a wife, and someone who truly enjoys cooking for my family when life allows a slower pace. This range makes me feel like a chef in my own home. I love how it commands attention without overpowering the space — it’s both a workhorse and a statement piece, and it’s made cooking in this kitchen feel joyful again.

A Hood That Holds Its Own:

Of course, with a range like that, I needed a hood that could keep up — both in performance and in style. The Kutch Pro-Style Range Hood checked every box. Clean lines, quiet power, and a sophisticated presence that blends seamlessly with the rest of the kitchen. In an open layout like ours, I didn’t want anything bulky or distracting, and this hood feels just right — like the perfect finishing touch that ties everything together.

I’m a firm believer that the most beautiful spaces are made up of thoughtful details, and this one is a game-changer. This powerhouse appliance detects the level of dirt on dishes and adjusts the wash cycle accordingly—because who has time to pre-rinse? With its pretty darn silent operation, it allows the kitchen to remain a place of connection and conversation, even during cleanup.
